Getting started

How to browse Gamine, sign in, set up a profile, and take part.

Browse without an account

You can start by exploring public content without signing in.

  • Browse games and view their introductions, progress, reviews, and play logs
  • Browse assets and check licenses, compatibility, and where to obtain them
  • Browse recruitment posts for testing, reviews, and collaboration
  • Follow a creator's work and activity through their public profile

Sign in when you want to participate

Use Google, GitHub, Discord, or an email magic link. Social sign-in creates a Gamine account when needed, and Gamine does not provide password-based sign-in.

After your first sign-in, choose the public display name and profile URL ID you want to use. Never paste verification codes or sign-in links into profiles, posts, the Improvement Board, or contact messages.

Set up your profile and viewing preferences

  • Add a profile image, header image, bio, areas of involvement, and links
  • Choose one of your games or assets as featured work
  • Review filters for age-restricted, content-warning, and generative-AI content
  • Mute users, words, or tags you do not want to see; block users when you need to restrict interaction

Profiles are public. Only include information and links you are comfortable sharing publicly.

Take part in games and development

  • Follow creators and check their recent activity from Home
  • Leave a short play log or a fuller review for a game you played
  • React to development progress with likes and comments
  • Apply to recruitment posts for testing, reviews, or collaboration
  • Register Gamine assets used in a game as used assets

Publish a game or asset

You can begin with a draft. Set thumbnails, headers, and gallery images for their intended uses, and accurately disclose age restrictions, content warnings, and meaningful generative-AI use.

Gamine does not host downloadable asset packages directly. Add an external distribution, store, or information page as the place to obtain or verify the asset, and clearly explain licensing, credit, and redistribution conditions.

Review the Community Guidelines and the relevant posting guide before publishing.

When you need help

  • Use the report control on a post or profile when the issue concerns that specific item
  • Use the Improvement Board for public product or operating suggestions
  • Use Contact for personal information, account-specific problems, rights infringement, and safety matters
  • Check Announcements for feature updates, maintenance, and incidents
